Here is a mini set design project that Isabella in Grade 5 created for Mrs. Nearis's drama class, inspired by Frozen. You can see more great creations here.

School-Wide Color Wars Fundraiser
The Beverly Middle School Peer Leaders are planning a spirit day in order to raise money for a local cause. Thursday, February 11th & Friday, February 12th we will have a schoolwide GRADE COLOR WARS! Students can bring in $1 (or more!) to wear the color assigned to their grade. Anything goes - shirt, pants, or accessories! The more COLOR the better! All money raised will be donated to Family Promise in Beverly.
Family Promise North Shore Boston’s mission is to prevent and end family homelessness through a family-centered, community-based response. They aim to uphold each family's dignity and strength as they accompany families in preventing, navigating, or recovering from situations of homelessness, and to engage the local community as critical partners in this effort.
Our goal is to raise awareness for this local organization and raise as much money as possible to help support families in our community! The grade who raises the most money will win the GRADE COLOR WARS competition and our BMS principals will participate in an exciting surprise!
We hope many students will participate in this fun and friendly competition before heading off for February vacation!
Please contact Mrs. Nichols (anichols@beverlyschools.org) with any questions.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
BMS 8th Grade Peer Leaders

Student Survey
We are surveying our students to find out more about what they like and what they feel like they need from us. Please ask your child if they have filled out the survey emailed to them by Mrs. Oliver recently. They can also follow this link but must be logged in with their bhsconnect.org email to complete it (so they would not be able to do it on your device, but you could email it or otherwise share it with them).
Dear BMS Students,We would like to hear your voice! At this time, we are about half way through the 2020-2021 school year. As your principal, I want you to know that I am listening for your voice and that each of you are contributors to our community. During a year that is anything but typical, it is more important than ever that I hear from you. I want to know what makes BMS a great place to be and also how we can improve.
My goal for you is to feel both physically and emotionally safe, while learning both academics and who you are becoming as a human. You are all amazing in your own unique way!
I look forward to reading your responses.
Best,
Mrs. Oliver
BMS Principal
Postcrossing Update
We continue to send postcards to people all over the world - and we've gotten some great ones back too! You can see them here at the BMS Postcrossing blog. We got a card from Finland this past week.
What is Postcrossing? You can find out more tomorrow (Tuesday 1/26) at 7pm in a session that Ms. Woznick is doing at the Beverly Public Library with BHS Librarian Mrs. Fecteau and a fellow Postcrosser from Watertown who has sent and receieved more than 2500 postcards! Click here to find out more and to sign up to get a Zoom link.
Students who are interested in sending Postcrossing postcards through BMS should contact Ms. Woznick at awoznick@beverlyschools.org.
