French 8 Families
Attention French 8 students, parents and guardians!
As a capping event for our unit on "La cuisine française," we will join together on Thursday, October 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for a community supper.
The event will take place at BMS in the first floor cafeteria.
This will be a chance for students (with help from home) to make and share the dishes they have learned about and to celebrate French culture through its food.
Madame Diop, our new Grade 7 French teacher, will be joining us.
Please know that if you are not able to bring a dish, you are still welcome to attend. I will be making a few dishes myself, so there should be enough for everyone.
Questions? Contact Madame Faria at lfaria@beverlyschools.org.

Black Team X-Country
Hello! Just a couple quick updates/reminders for you all:
1. Tuesday the black team will be competing in an away meet at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, facing Saugus and Gloucester. It looks like it will be in the high 50s, but running along the ocean can get chilly so please encourage your child to bring layers. As always, we are asking students to text with ETAs when we are on our way home, and I will send an email blast with updated information as well. Students will meet in the first floor cafe at 3:15 tomorrow while we wait for transportation.
2. This year's NECs conference championship will also be held at Stage Fort Park on 10/30. Transportation will be provided!
3. If anyone plans to sign up their child for the Jim Munn invitational meet, could you please let me know ASAP! I sent an email about it recently that you can check to jog your memory on the details.
4. Next Thursday, 10/17, we will be holding our annual Marc Burns Memorial Meet at BMS. Canned food and other non perishables are welcome, and we are encouraging all students to participate in this event to honor Marc Burns.
