Supply Lists To Be Ready Soon

We are working on the supply lists for each grade level, but they are not quite ready to be posted online yet. We regret any confusion and plan to have them available in the coming days. Please expect the list to be largely similar to those in past years, but to have some changes due to the current situation.

Grade 5 Information

The following letter went out to BMS families on Thursday, August 20. A copy is included here for your convenience.

August 20, 2020

Dear Grade 5 Families,

Here are a few pieces of information regarding the Grade 5 Open House next Wednesday August 26th and the School Supply List:
  • You should have received (or should soon receive) this mailing with your own invitation and assigned appointment time. As a back-up, we have created an alphabetical list of students with their assigned appointment times that you can access here.
  • Open House will certainly not feel like those we have hosted in the past but we hope it will still be a safe and fun opportunity to bring students to the building. Also, it is an opportunity to give them their iPad that will be assigned to them during their time as a BMS student.
  • As stated on the invitation, this Open House is not mandatory. If you are not comfortable attending, or can’t attend, a recorded version will be made available. We can also arrange alternative times to pick up student's iPads.
To help with the flow of foot traffic at Open House, please fill out this Middle School Device Use Agreement form prior to arrival Wednesday night. Thank you in advance for helping with this.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,
The BMS Administrative Team

School Meal Benefit Applications

Student meal benefit applications can now be completed online at www.lunchapp.com. If you need a paper application mailed to you, contact Christina Leal at 978-921-6132 x 11129. Even if you feel you may not qualify to receive lunch benefits, we encourage you to fill out the application.

Free Books

BMS Librarian Ms. Woznick has dozens of great used books from her giveaway bins and would love to get them into the hands of kids to read and enjoy this summer!

You can request a free book (1 per week)! There are many titles that are great for kids in grades 5-7 but there are also some that are perfect for younger and for older kids as well.
  1. Please see the list of giveaway books online - if you see one that looks good to you, then
  2. fill out this form to request it.
If you sign by up Thursday evening 8/20, you will get a confirmation email and be able to pick the book up at Beverly High School on Friday morning 8/21, during the same times that food is available for pickup (10:30-12:30).

Books will be put into in a plain paper bag with your name on it and placed in the vestibule outside the cafeteria. If you are unable to get to the high school to pick it up, you will have an option to provide your address so it can be delivered to your home (Beverly only), but this may take a little longer.

If you have questions, please contact Ms. Woznick: awoznick@beverlyschools.org.

Finally - keep in mind that the Beverly Public Library has "front door service" and has started expanding some of their services, so check out their website as well!
