Summer Opportunities at GUS

The Glen Urquhart School in Beverly Farms has some great summer programs coming up for campers age 10 and up, involving art, cooking, outdoor activities, Minecraft and more!

Turf Field Unavailable Monday

Due to rain forecast for today, we had to reschedule the painting of the turf field.

The turf field will be unavailable between 10am - 4pm on Monday, April 1st.

Spring Newsletter from Food Service

Did you know you can limit student spending in the cafeteria if needed? Student accounts can be blocked from allowing the purchase of anything beyond a breakfast or lunch meal, or specific notes can be added to a student's account, such as, “Only allow one add-on” or “No more than two bags of chips.”

April Vacation Program from Change is Simple

Change is Simple is running a 3-day spring vacation program Tuesday, April 16 through Thursday, April 18 from 9am to 3pm at Camp Paradise in Beverly. It is open to children ages 6-12. Days will be filled with spring outdoor adventures, sustainable crafts, projects, and more!

Kiwanis Green Eggs & Ham Breakfast Tomorrow

The Kiwanis Club of Beverly is holding a Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast tomorrow, Saturday, March 30 from 8 to 11 am at the ICC on Rantoul St.

Evviva Cucina Nature's Classroom Fundraiser

Plan on not cooking on Tuesday night, April 2 and come to Evviva Cucina at 45 Enon St. for dinner instead. A portion of proceeds of purchases made from 4pm - 10pm that night will go to Nature's Classroom!

Friends of Library Book Sale & Fundraiser

The Friends of the Beverly Public Library Spring Book Sale begins on Saturday, April 6 and runs through Sunday, April 14. Click here to see the Book Sale flyer.

A special preview night event next Friday, April 5 from 6-8pm for Friends members gives you access to the best stuff before the doors open to the general public!

If you buy a ticket to Symphony by the Sea at the Cabot Theatre on Sunday, May 6 you will get a complimentary Friends membership, which will also let you into the Book Sale Preview party for free! Hat Day TOMORROW! Bring in $1

Student Council will be holding a Hat Day tomorrow, Friday, March 29th. We ask for a $1 donation for students to wear their favorite hat all day! All proceeds will help Student Council with our Earth Day celebration in May!

BMS Turf Field Unavailable Tomorrow

MCAS Testing Schedule

MCAS testing begins next week.

Grade 6 will be taking ELA tests on Wednesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 4.

Kestrel Summer Programs

Kestrel Education has some great summer programs for children aged 4-12.

Being Animals is a one-week morning program for children age 4 to 7. Survival Rockport has four one-week sessions and is for children aged 8 to 12.

Beverly Youth Football & Cheerleading

Beverly Youth Football and Cheerleading registration is now open!  Beverly youth football and cheerleading programs are for children in grades 1 - 8.  The football season begins August 31 and the cheerleading season begins on July 1. Book & Magazine Donations

Ms. Woznick, the BMS librarian, is seeking used book donations of all reading levels, including picture books. Donated books are used for the giveaway bins in the library and to provide for students at the end of MCAS testing if they've forgotten to bring reading material.

Magazines are given to students for reading and to teachers who need them for various projects.

Please drop off any donations in the office and/or email Ms. Woznick at awoznick@beverlyschools.org.

Gr 8 Parents - Donations Still Needed!

Grade 8 Parents - We are still looking for items for our theme baskets, which we will raffle off at the Staff vs. Student basketball game.

If your child is on 8 BALCH, please consider sending in an item for our GAME NIGHT basket.
If your child is on 8 CABOT, please consider sending in an item for our MOVIE NIGHT basket.
If you child is on 8 HALE, please consider sending in an item for our CANDY basket.

Tickets will be on sale at all lunches from April 1st-4th, and at the basketball game on April 4th.
Tickets are 50 cents each, or 12 for $5.

This fundraising effort will help 8th graders attend the end of year trip to Boston.

Band Concert Tomorrow Night

The All City Band Concert, featuring bands from 4th through 8th grade and the BHS Band will perform at the Beverly Middle School Auditorium tomorrow evening, Tuesday, March 26. Students performing should plan to arrive by 5:30. The concert begins at 6:30 pm.

Musical Rehearsal Cancelled

Into the Woods Jr. rehearsal has been cancelled for today, Monday,  March 25.

Honors Choir

Honors choir rehearsal is today at 3pm in room 155.
