Marc Burns Memorial XC Meet

Attention all Beverly cross country team members: the team will be holding our annual Marc Burn's invitational meet at our home course on Wednesday, November 13th. This meet is held every year in memory of Marc Burns, a valued member of the Beverly community and member of the Briscoe cross country team. 

Following the meet, the team will be holding a pizza party in the first floor cafeteria. We encourage all students to attend. 

Please bring $5 for the pizza party and canned goods to Coach Arsnow's room, room 304. All canned goods and nonperishables will be donated to Beverly Bootstraps!

They will be energized and entertained by one of the most critically acclaimed theatrical presentations in the country, dine in style at the Hard Rock CafĂ©, and enjoy the hit of last year’s trip - a behind-the-scenes tour of Fenway Park! This is an event not to be missed!

The total price is discounted thanks to the previous success of the Direct Donation Drive, Cash Calendar Sales, and other fundraising efforts. We need your continued support! Be sure to join us for this year’s Staff vs. Student Basketball Game in 2020. All proceeds go to the Boston Trip scholarship fund.

Thanksgiving is coming! If you need some extra baked goods, try Nothing Bundt Cakes. You can order 10" or 8" bundt cakes in different flavors, or if you can't decide, get an assortment of "bundtini" cakes! It's a fundraiser for the Beverly Middle School PTO.

Order by November 18 and you can either pick them up at school or your child can bring them home on November 26.

There is no school for students or staff on Monday, November 11 in observance of Veterans' Day

  • Friday, December 13 - Staff Development Day
These days will have early dismissal. There is no late bus on these days and lunch is not served.
  • Wednesday, November 27 - Students dismissed at 1:00pm (day before Thanksgiving)
  • Thursday, December 12 - Students dismissed at 12:15. Parent Afternoon Back starts 1pm.

The annual Marc Burns memorial meet has officially been rescheduled to 3:30 on Wednesday, November 13th at our BMS home course! This meet has been held every year since Marc, a former Briscoe student and XC team member, tragically passed away in 2012. It means a lot to the family, who will be attending the meet and speaking a few words about Marc. We encourage anyone who is able to attend to please do so, and if you are willing, to bring canned goods which will be donated to Beverly Bootstraps in Marc's honor. Ribbons will be awarded to all who participated and an official race clock will be used.

Following the meet we will be having a pizza party on the first floor cafe for all team members from both the black and orange teams. We ask those interested in attending to please bring in $5 for pizza and soft drinks, or more if you are able to defray the costs for those who are not able to contribute. Mr. Arsnow's room is 304 on the third floor, first neighborhood for dropping off pizza money.

Thanks again to everyone for your support, we look forward to celebrating our championship season!

BHS Musical - BMS Students Invited to Participate

The Beverly High School Music Department is presenting Cinderella March 27-29, 2020. Interested students in grades 5-8 may join the Townspeople Ensemble!
  • No audition is needed for acceptance into the Townspeople Ensemble 
  • A complete rehearsal schedule is linked below. 
  • Participants are expected to be present at all rehearsals unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Lost and Found Filling Up

There are currently over 100 items on hangers (sweaters, shirts, jackets) plus other loose items in the lost and found.

Please remember that we are donating things to charity once they have been in the lost and found for a month or more. Many of the items here have been in the lost and found since mid-October or earlier and will be donated before Thanksgiving.

Urge your child to carefully check the lost and found if they are missing any items.

Field Hockey - Return Uniforms

Just a reminder that the 7th and 8th grade field hockey girls are to return their uniforms today after school in the third floor cafeteria to Coach McGrath from 3:10-4:00pm. Any questions, please see coach in room 444.
