Got Trikes? Please Contribute!

Grade 8 French classes would like your help as they complete a unit on French sports, featuring the Tour de France. To succeed, we need tricycles!

If you may have an old trike cluttering up your basement or garage, read on....

The "Tour de BMS" will take place Tuesday, June 4 during regularly scheduled classes. This entertaining spoof of France's famous Tour de France cycle race has become a school tradition since its institution in 2012 at Briscoe. Instead of bicycles, our students compete in a relay race: on tricycles.

If you can contribute a trike large enough to support the weight of a small eighth grader, please contact Madame Faria through email at lfaria@beverlyschools.org.

Milles mercis. (A thousand thanks).

Ms. Woznick reminds you that students must clear their library accounts by returning books as soon as possible. There are no fines for overdues, but lost books must be paid for. Teachers and students will receive an updated list of overdue books early next week.

All books will be considered overdue after June 5 because we need a couple of weeks to get all the books back.

Gr 8 - Drumline & Color Guard Meet & Greet

Grade 8 students - if you're interested in drumline or color guard at BHS, check out the annual drumline and color guard meet and greet event. This is an evening in June that we always set aside to welcome any 8th grade drummers and/or color guard enthusiasts who are trying to figure out their role within the marching band this fall. It’s a very low-key, informal event.

This year's event is on Monday 6/10 from 6:00-7:30 in the BHS Band Room and field house. Students should be dropped off and picked up by Door 11, adjacent to the athletic fields.

Percussionists will be able to meet our instructors and current drumline members during this get together, as well as try out all of the equipment used during marching band season.

Color guard enthusiasts will also be able to meet the instructor and current members, as well as learn some basic flag twirling maneuvers and learn about the color guard's important role within the marching band.

Questions? Contact Mr. Costa at amcosta@beverlyschools.org.
