Student Council Fundraiser

BMS Student Council has set a goal to raise $500 in January to donate to the California Fire Foundation’s SAVE Program to help provide some financial relief for those affected by the wildfires.

The Prize: The neighborhood that raises the most money gets to choose the color Mrs. Pasquarelli will dye her hair!

Honors Choir

Honors choir rehearsal is next Tuesday in room 155 at 3pm.

Gr 8 - National Jr. Honor Society

If you have been given an invitation to join Beverly Middle School's 8th grade National Junior Honor Society, our first meeting is this upcoming Wednesday, January 23rd, in the 3rd floor cafeteria from 3:05 - 3:45pm. Just a reminder that attendance is mandatory and only one excused absence is permitted.

Science Fair Information

Beverly Middle School's Science Fair is coming on Tuesday, February 26!

Registration is open now. Click here to fill out the registration form so you can tell us about your wonderful self and what you're thinking about for a project (or if you don't know what you want to do yet)! Register by Friday 1/18 for a chance to win a $10 iTunes card.

Registered participants can pick up their science fair notebooks from Mrs. Hopkins in room 131A or Mrs. Fish in room 339A.

Trifold boards will be given out on January 23rd at 3:05 pm from the1st floor 1st Neighborhood Makerspace room.

There will be two more after-school mentoring sessions before the Science Fair. Both are from 3:05-3:40 in the first floor first neighborhood Makerspace room.
  • Wednesday, January 23: “What are the next steps in my project and how am I doing so far?” 
  • Monday, February 4: “How do I organize my results and lay out my board?” 
The sessions are open to all students to help you choose a topic and get started. Have fun exploring!!

No extra yearbooks will be available at the end of the year - You must secure your order now!

All yearbook orders (online and paper) are DUE FRIDAY MARCH 29, 2019.

MCAS Schedule

The MCAS testing schedule for April and May is now available. The calendar here is color-coded to easily see which grades have tests on which days. You may want to make a note of these dates.

PTO Meeting Next Thursday

The PTO's next meeting is Thursday, January 24 at 6:30 in the BMS Library. There are NO membership dues. Mr. Poska relies on PTO funding for various events and the PTO relies on parents.

The PTO website has TONS of information on how to deal with Fortnite addiction, new City Marijuana regulations, who to contact to support the PTO, and the PTO's FINAL fundraiser for the year (hint: it involves a calendar)!! Parents can always check out the PTO's website at https://sites.google.com/view/beverly-middle-school-pto/home 

Parents can contribute Box Tops to further support our school's PTO. The Box Top container is located in the main office!

Centerville Blood Drive 1/31

Centerville Elementary School hosts its 2nd Annual Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, January 31 from 2-7pm.

Polar Plunge on Superbowl Sunday

North Shore Community Development Inc., Lifebridge North Shore and River House are asking you to bring together friends and family to support the mission to end homelessness.

By joining the fundraiser for the 2019 Polar Plunge, you will help combat homelessness and will be giving the opportunity for groups and individuals to make some great changes in their community and beyond! The 2019 Beverly Polar Plunge will be held at Lynch Park on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3, 2019!

Auditions for the BMS Spring Musical, Into the Woods Jr., are being held in the auditorium this week on Tuesday 1/15 and Thursday 1/17:

Those who wish to audition should prepare a song and/or a monologue.

Join us for a celebration of the life and work of Dr. King and the power of personal connection with a special community breakfast. Special guests include speaker Beverly resident and peacebuilder Sarah Rial and representatives of the departments and groups who keep our community strong.

This event is FREE and open to the public. All ages.

Sponsored by Beverly’s Human Rights Committee and the Multifaith Coalition and co-hosted by Beverly youth.

Honors Choir

Honors choir rehearsal is today (Monday) at 3pm in room 155

Fab Lab

Fab Lab will be meeting after school tomorrow (Tuesday) in room 316 from 3:00 to 3:45. We will be working on making the full-sized hovercraft.
