Centerville Holiday Craft Fair Tomorrow

Centerville School is holding a Holiday Craft Fair tomorrow, Saturday, November 10 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. More than 75 local crafters and vendors will be there.

YMCA Teen Dance Tonight

There will be a YMCA Teen Dance held tonight at the Teen Center! It will run from 7pm-10pm. You can come to the Y with your friends, hang out, and dance throughout the night. Only $10 per student, snacks and drinks are sold for $1-$2 each. All students must be picked up no later than 10:15pm.

Thanksgiving Food Drive Ends Tomorrow

The Beverly Middle School  Student Council is running a food drive to collect food for Beverly Bootstraps until tomorrow, Friday, November 9. They are trying to collect some of the most-needed foods by focusing on particular items for each grade level.

  • Grade 5: Stuffing mix & canned vegetables
  • Grade 6: Cake/brownie/bread mixes and instant mashed potatoes
  • Grade 7: Canned gravy, chicken broth, cream of mushroom soup
  • Grade 8: Cranberry sauce & French's Fried Onions
Other items are welcome, but please no glass jars!  The collection box will be in the main lobby of the school, outside the office.




No School Next Monday

There is no school for students on the following days:
  • Monday, November 12 - Veteran's Day (observed)
  • Thursday, November 22 & Friday November 23 - Thanksgiving Holiday
  • Friday, December 7 - Staff Development Day
  • Monday, December 24 through Tuesday, January 1 - December Vacation
There are early release days on the following days. Lunch is not served on early release days.



  • Wednesday, November 21 - 1:00 release for Thanksgiving Holiday
  • Thursday, December 6 - 12:15 release for Parent Afternoon Back
Please note that Friday, December 21 is a full school day. Students will be released at 3:00 pm.

Flag Football

Thursdsay's Flag Football Games are:
  • Auburn vs Florida
  • Michigan vs Ohio St.
  • Miami vs Notre Dame
Games that were canceled on Monday have been rescheduled for next Tuesday, November 13th!

Library Closed Before School Friday and Tuesday

Ms. Woznick is out on Friday and Tuesday. The library will not be open before school either day and it is also closed after school on Friday and Tuesday, except for students going to newspaper club. The tech center inside the library will still be open to students during the school day.

Students who need to return a book may put it in the drop box just inside the library.

Attention all cross country runners: the Marc Burns Memorial Meet is this Wednesday, November 7th, here at Beverly Middle School. The Black and Orange teams will be facing off for a great cause.

Please bring canned goods and other non-perishable goods to the meet. 

A pizza party will be held after the conclusion of the meet, please bring $3 to Mr. Arsnow, Mr. Sutera, or Mrs. Sherman before Wednesday. Non-team members are encouraged to attend the meet to support your peers!

Girl Power Starts Next Week

The YMCA Girl Power program begins on November 13. It meets Tuesdays at 3:15 right here at Beverly Middle School and is open to students in grades 6-8.

Traffic Reminders


We wanted to remind you of some recent changes to the traffic patterns that began on Monday, November 5. Mr. Poska sent out a letter recently with details, which you can view online, but here are some highlights
  • Cones will be placed at the beginning of the driveway on Balch Street beginning at 3:00 PM, preventing traffic from entering campus. Vehicles will be allowed to leave campus, but it will be one way to exit only beginning at that time.
  • After ALL of the buses have left campus (approximately 3:15 PM), the driveway will again be open to Two-Way traffic.
  • Parents/Guardians who pick up their child in the parking lot off of Balch Street are reminded that live parking is not permitted along the outside of the parking lot. Please utilize the parking spots that are available in the lot while waiting to pick up your child.

BevEd Foundation Holiday Book Fair 12/1

Get ready for a Holiday Book Fair on Saturday, December 1 to benefit the Beverly Education Foundation. It's at the Book Shop of Beverly Farms from 10am to 2pm and will feature some fun special events. 20% of the proceeds during that time will go to the Beverly Education Foundation.

Election Day Food Drive Tomorrow

Help provide Thanksgiving meals to those in need by donating to the Election Day Food Drive!

When you vote on Tuesday, don't forget to bring one or some of the items below to donate in the bins at all polling locations in Beverly. Beverly Bootstraps depends on donations to the Election Day Food Drive to be able to provide all the fixin's to make a Thanksgiving meal to over 500 families each year.
