Holiday Craft Fair at BHS

The BHS Class of 2019 is sponsoring a Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, November 3 from 9am to 3pm in the BHS Field House.

With more than 50 crafters, you can get your holiday shopping done early at the BHS Holiday Craft Fair Sat. Nov. 3, 9 - 3 in the BHS Field House. There will also be raffles, a face painter, and more. This is a fundraiser for the senior class of 2019.

Student Council Meets Monday

Student council will meet on Monday, October 22nd after school in room 313A. New members are always welcome! If you can't make the meeting please stop by and see Ms. Kemes for an update!

Field Hockey Away Game Today

Attention Field Hockey athletes: Due to our game being further away in Gloucester, please be sure to get out to the bus as soon as possible after school today. Remember, the bus picks us out behind the school in front of the bus depot. As always, any questions, please see Coach McGrath in room 444.

Public Library Book Sale - Preview Tonight

The Friends of the Beverly Public Library are holding their semi-annual book sale Saturday, October 20 through Sunday, October 28 in the Sohier Room. If you are a member (or want to join!) the Friends you can come to a members-only preview sale tonight, Friday evening, October 19 from 6-8 pm.

Mandatory Grade 8 Peer Leader Meeting

ATTENTION 8TH GRADE PEER LEADERS! There will be a mandatory Peer Leader meeting on Tuesday, October 23rd after school in SeƱora Nichols room 226. If you cannot attend you MUST let Ms. Arsenault ( or Ms. Nichols ( or room 226) know.

This meeting is for any 8th graders who were Peer Leaders last year and is mandatory if you want to continue. 

Scouts Halloween Party 10/28

Come to a Halloween Party and learn about Cub Scouts! It's on Oct. 28 from 2-4pm at CIS Hall at 437 Essex St. This is for girls and boys in grades K-5.

Math Team Meet Today

We already have a growing pile of lost and found items (mostly jackets and sweaters) under the stairway next to the library. If your child has misplaced something at school, encourage him/her to check there or stop by yourself!

BMS Music Department Fundraiser 10/25

Put the BMS Music Department Fundraiser on your calendar for next Thursday, October 25. Go to Fuddrucker's in Reading, off exit 39 (route 128/95) inside Jordan's Furniture building. Take a night off of cooking, have dinner with friends, and 20% of the meal price will go to the BMS Music Department.

Make sure you present this flyer to the cashier.

Girl Power Starts 11/13

The YMCA Girl Power program begins on November 13. It meets Tuesdays at 3:15 right here at Beverly Middle School and is open to students in grades 6-8.

Fab Lab Update

Thank you everyone who signed up for the first Fab Lab session to make a hovercraft. Because of the overwhelming response and the limited number of spaces available, I will be running multiple sessions of this build.

The following students were randomly selected for session 1:
Kaleb K., Conner F., Josue R., Carl M., Daniel C., Charlie B., Eric S., Reese B., Tyler B., Drew M.

Fab Lab starts tomorrow after school in room 316. The names of the 10 students randomly selected have been posted in room 316. If you didn't make it into the first session, session 2 will start some time in November. I will send out another round of emails to students when session two is close to starting (probably sometime in November).

Book Club & Movie at Public Library

The Beverly Public Library has a pizza book club each term! This term the book is When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead and it will meet on Wednesday 11/7 from 3:45-4:45.

  • Wednesday - Flute Club meets (started in September)
  • Thursday - Green Team starts 10/18 and Math Team is ongoing (new members welcome); Yearbook starts 10/25.
