Polar Plunge

North Shore Community Development Inc., Lifebridge North Shore and River House are asking you to bring together friends and family to support the mission to end homelessness.

By joining the fundraiser for the 2019 Polar Plunge, you will help combat homelessness and will be giving the opportunity for groups and individuals to make some great changes in their community and beyond! The 2019 Beverly Polar Plunge will be held at Lynch Park on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3, 2019!

BMS Spring Musical Auditions Next Week

Auditions for the BMS Spring Musical will be held next week!
  • Tuesday, January 15 @ 3:15 - 5:00
  • Thursday, January 17 @ 3:15 - 5:00
Those who wish to audition should prepare a song and/or a monologue.

Rehearsals will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 3:15 - 4:45 in the BMS Auditorium. (Not every actor will need to attend every single rehearsal, depending on what is being rehearsed that day - a specific schedule to follow once parts have been assigned)

Attention Grade 8 Parents,

This is just a reminder that the first payment for the Grade 8 Boston Trip is due tomorrow, Friday, January 11th. The trip will be on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.

Thank you to those of you who have already submitted payments. And a HUGE thanks to those of you who sent in donations to support students who need some financial assistance to attend the trip. Your generosity is much appreciated!

The full payment schedule is as follows (of course, you may pay in full at any time):
  • January 11 - $100
  • February 8 - $50
  • March 8 - $50 
  • April 5 - $20

Register for Indoor Flag Football

Register now for indoor flag football Winter 2 season. The season runs from Feb. 2 - March 23. All games are played at the D&R Indoor Sports Arena in Topsfield on Saturday afternoons.

Chipotle Fundraiser Saturday

The BHS Robotics team is holding a fundraiser at Chipotle on Saturday, January 12 from 4-8pm.

Bring this flyer or just show it on your smartphone and the team will get 33% of the proceeds of your purchase.

Centerville Red Cross Blood Drive 1/31

Centerville Elementary School hosts its 2nd Annual Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, January 31 from 2-7pm.

Breakfast is Served - Every Day!

One of the goals of Beverly Public Schools Food Service is to increase participation in meals, especially for breakfast. As a district, we have a 40% lunch participation but only a 10% breakfast participation.

PTO Meeting January 24

The PTO's next meeting is Thursday, January 24 at 6:30 in the BMS Library. There are NO membership dues. Mr. Poska relies on PTO funding for various events and the PTO relies on parents. 

The PTO website has TONS of information on how to deal with Fortnite addiction, new City Marijuana regulations, who to contact to support the PTO, and the PTO's FINAL fundraiser for the year (hint: it involves a calendar)!! Parents can always check out the PTO's website at https://sites.google.com/view/beverly-middle-school-pto/home 

Parents can contribute Box Tops to further support our school's PTO. The Box Top container is located in the main office!

Lost & Found Full Again!

There must be lots of cold and thirsty BMS students, judging from the number of jackets, sweaters, hats and water bottles in the lost and found next to the school library.

YMCA Teen Dance Friday

There will be a YMCA Teen Dance held this Friday, January 11th. From 7pm-10pm you can come to the Y with your friends, hang out, and dance throughout the night. Only $10 per student, snacks and drinks are sold for $1-$2 each. All students must be picked up no later than 10:15pm.

Girls Who Code postponed

The public library meeting for Girls Who Code, which was scheduled for this afternoon, has been cancelled.

BMS Science Fair Registration Open Now

Beverly Middle School's Science Fair is coming on Tuesday, February 26!

Registration is open now. Click here to fill out the registration form so you can tell us about your wonderful self and what you're thinking about for a project (or if you don't know what you want to do yet)!

There will be three after-school mentoring sessions before the Science Fair on January 10, January 23, and February 4. The sessions are open to all students to help you choose a topic and get started. Have fun exploring!!
