Dodgeball Starts Monday 2/25!
Dodgeball teams and schedules are now available! This is a club activity with 25 teams, so not every team will play each week. The first games are on Monday, February 25 after school in the BMS gym. The action takes place from 3:05-3:40. Students will be released in time to get the late bus.

Newspaper Club Today
Newspaper Club has been rescheduled from Tuesday to Thursday this week because of after-school activities being cancelled due to weather on Tuesday.
We need help getting all the papers folded so they can be distributed before vacation, so if your child is a newspaper club member and is available today, please ask him/her to come to the library after school!

Kids Fly Tying Program - Register Now!
Looking for a unique vacation activity for your kids next week? There is a Kids Fly Tying Program for ages 11+ being held Tuesday, February 19 through Friday, February 22 from 10:00AM-Noon at the Orvis Store in the Northshore Mall.

Gr 8 Recognition Night Info
The exact date/time for Grade 8 Recognition Night events have not yet been set. However, some students and parents/guardians have begun asking about proper attire. Please assist us as we focus on this annual age-appropriate function. This is a school event and only proper attire will be allowed. Suggestions for boys would be a shirt & tie with slacks and comfortable shoes; sneakers are discouraged. Boys may wear a suit but should think about comfort. Suggestions for girls include pants, capris, skirts, or sun dresses. Dresses and skirts should be of appropriate length and shoes should have a lower heel. Strapless dresses, semi-formal wear, and long gowns are not appropriate for an event such as this.
Gr 8 - BHS Curriculum Night Feb. 26
The will be a Curriculum Night held Tuesday, February 26 at 7:00 pm at Beverly High School for any families of students considering or planning to attend BHS next fall as 9th graders.
BHS guidance counselors will be visiting all BMS 8th grade teams starting the week of February 25 to hand out course recommendation/selection sheets and to help students pick electives for next fall. Students will bring these home and they must be returned with a parent/guardian signature by Monday, March 4. 8th Grade Moveup Day will be held on June 3.

Beverly Public Library Vacation Week Event
Next week teens (grades 6-8) are welcome to join in a Board Game Bonanza on Wednesday, February 20 from 2-4PM. Click here for a flyer.

Parents’ Afternoon Back is scheduled on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 1:00-3:00 PM. This is time for parents to come in and check their child’s academic progress in brief 1-1 meetings with teachers. These meetings should last 5 minutes or less due to the number of parents that attend.

Bootstraps is cancelling their buses for today, TUES 2/12, due to the snow.

All BPS After School Activities Cancelled Today
There are no Beverly Schools activities after school today. Teachers will not be staying late. Students must leave the building immediately at 3:00. There will not be a late bus.
The Beverly Bootstraps bus is cancelled. There is no after school program. Students must make other arrangements to get home.
The YMCA After School program will still be running as scheduled at all sites. However, with the incoming snow, please remember that extra time may be needed for pick up and they will still be closing at 6pm. If your child is enrolled in the YMCA after school program and will not be attending today please them know by emailing Lorigan Sudak at sudakl@northshoreymca.org or by calling your site's cell phone and leaving a voicemail.

This is just a reminder that session 3 is meeting again tomorrow (Tuesday) in room 316 from 3 to 3:45. The following students are in session 3:
