Dodgeball Playoffs Monday After School

Dodgeball playoffs will be after school on Monday, May 6. Students on these teams should report to the gym at 3:05 on Monday.

Scholastic Book Fair is Coming!

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Beverly Middle School!

It will be in the library from Tuesday, May 28 through Friday, May 31. All students will be given an opportunity to come during the school day at an assigned time. The fair will also have some before and after school hours and there will be an online fair to shop without ever setting foot in the school. New this year is an e-wallet, which you will be able to set up ahead of time, so you don't have to remember to give your kids cash or a check!

Electronics Collection at BHS Tomorrow

Do you have some old electronics kicking around the house that you'd like to dispose of? Tomorrow is the day! The City of Beverly is holding an Electronics Day at Beverly High School on Saturday, May 4 from 8am to noon.

The Electronics Collection is sponsored by the Beverly Waste Reduction Committee. Proceeds go to the Beverly High School Football program and the Beverly Recycles Education Fund.

Donation Requests For Teacher Appreciation Week

Some wonderful things are being planned for BMS Teacher Appreciation Week 5/6-5/10. Our BMS Staff have had quite a year of changes - new building, new schedule, more kids, etc. We want to let them know how appreciated they are!

The PTO would love your support on 3 core things:

1. Teacher Snacks - please drop off Teacher snacks in the bin in the main office starting tomorrow. Granola bars, power bars, small chips and pretzel bags, mints, candies, etc. We plan on putting baskets out in the teacher's lounges on Wed. 5/8. Thank you!

2. Desserts - Drop off a dessert on Friday 5/10 morning for staff to enjoy alongside their special teacher luncheon that day. These can be home-made OR store bought - any and all are appreciated.

3. Donations - If you'd like to send in a couple dollars to go toward either option #1 or #2...please send in an envelope with Ann Gavin - PTO on it and it will be placed in the PTO mailbox in the office...or catch me on the fly.

Math MCAS testing for grades 6 and 7 takes place next week.

  • Grade 7 has Math MCAS on Monday 5/6 and Tuesday 5/7

  • Have eaten a nutritious breakfast at home or have time to eat breakfast at school

Track & Field

Due to the weather we will be having a meeting in the first floor cafeteria today (Thursday), followed by an optional run. We should be done by 3:45 for the late bus.

The information and directions to lease a Beverly High School laptop were distributed last week to 8th grade students. Online registration will be available until June 15th.

The Tech Center orders extra laptops for students who are waitlisted for Essex Tech. If you have been waitlisted but are not admitted to Essex Tech and decide to attend BHS, immediately call the BHS Tech Center at 978-921-6132 ext. 11171 so we can hold a laptop for your child. Next, you must come to the Tech Center to fill out the appropriate registration form with payment (you will not be able to register online). Please note, this is on a first-come first-serve basis, so please call the BHS Tech Center as soon as you have been notified by Essex Tech. Girls Basketball Clinics Start Tonight

Beverly Girls Middle School Travel Basketball will be hosting FREE skills & drills on Mondays starting at 6PM (Grades 3/4/5) and 7:30PM (Grades 6/7/8) at BMS. This will kick off on Monday, April 29th. These will run through June 10th with the only exception being May 27th (Memorial Day Weekend). This is open to all girls either currently participating or generally interested in the Beverly Girls Middle School Travel Basketball program. The girls just need to bring sneakers, some water, a ball.
