Supply Lists

Supply lists for the 2019-2020 school year are now available.

Please note that because lockers are smaller than traditional ones, and due to use of technology instead of large textbooks in many cases, we recommend your child use a smaller cinch sack instead of a larger backpack for bringing in items from home every day.

Fall Sports Registration

If your child wants to participate in the fall cross country (Gr. 5-8) or field hockey (gr. 7 & 8 only) programs at the middle school level -- or if you have a child entering BHS who plans to play a fall sport -- you must register them over the summer at at bhsonline.org. The deadline for registration, receipt of payment and physicals is AUGUST 1, 2019.

Before any student can participate, the following requirements must be met:
  • All students MUST turn in a copy of their most recent physical to the Athletic Office by August 1, 2019. Physicals are good for 13 months from the date of the exam. Students with expired physicals will not be permitted to participate in practices or games until a new physical is turned in.
  • Parent/guardian and the student-athlete must complete an online concussion course in the past 12 months. The free course can be found at http://nfhslearn.com/courses/38000
  • Payments must be received in the BHS Athletic Office by August 1, 2019. Pre-payment is required. If your son/daughter does not make a team, you will be refunded. 8 Reasons to Read This Summer

Ms. Woznick is writing a series of articles about summer reading. The first one "8 Reasons to Read This Summer" is now available on the summer reading blog at https://beverlymssummerreading.blogspot.com/

Students entering grades 6, 7, and 8 are required to:
  • Read one book from one of the provided lists
  • Produce a response piece to demonstrate that they have read the book to turn in in September.
  • Read a graphic novel of their own choosing. There is no response piece requirement for this book.
All students are strongly encouraged to read much more over the summer, but the above listed items are the only requirements.

Students entering grade 5 do not have a summer reading requirement, but are expected to read regularly over the summer.
